我家的「見證物」
一座座城市，一個個空間，
一棟棟築物，一戶戶家庭，
都會充滿「它們」的存在。
「它們」，一直與我們生活，
「它們」，默默地看著我們，
「它們」，不停地告訴我們，
但我們往往忽略，
我準備緩緩地揭開「它們」存在的真實，
證明是多麼重要的角色…
因為「它們」，
見證我家成長的過程，
灌注我家金錢的來源，
成就我家蛻變的經歷，
因此，「它們」成為我家其中一名的見證物。
在此系列中，「它們」指涉那些長期存在於家庭之中的日常物件。透過對其形貌與使用痕跡的轉化與再現，使物件不再只是被使用的工具，而成為承載時間與經驗的媒介，亦是見證家庭變遷的具體存在。
The Witnesses of Yow Family
Cities, spaces,buildings, and homes—
all are inhabited by “them.”
“They” live alongside us,
“They” quietly watch us,
“They” continuously speak through the traces of time—
yet, they are often overlooked.
This body of work seeks to gradually reveal the reality of their existence, bringing these neglected everyday objects back into visibility, and affirming their significance within the structure of daily life.
Because of “them,”
the process of my family’s growth is witnessed,
the traces of its economic life are carried,
and the experiences of its transformation are recorded.
Thus, “they” are no longer merely objects,
but become integral parts of “my home”—
entities that testify to time, memory, and lived experience.
In this series, “they” refer to domestic objects that persist within everyday life. Through the transformation and representation of their forms and traces of use, these objects are no longer perceived as functional tools, but as carriers of time and experience, as well as tangible witnesses to the evolution of the family.
